SCACPA continues its steadfast commitment to fostering the next generation of Certified Public Accountants. In alignment with its objective to propel promising students into the CPA profession, the SCACPA Educational Fund has awarded a substantial sum in scholarships to students across South Carolina higher institutions this year.

For the 2023-24 academic year, the SCACPA Educational Fund Trustees are proud to announce that a grand total of $84,500 has been awarded to 51 standout Student Members. These recipients hail from 13 different South Carolina colleges and universities.

Scholarships, which have been disbursed in amounts ranging from $500 to $2,500, have been awarded to students who are currently in their junior or senior years with a major in accounting. The association has also extended its support to those who are in the pursuit of a master’s degree in the discipline.

This notable gesture not only signifies SCACPA’s commitment to academic excellence but also its dedication to bolstering the accounting profession within the state of South Carolina.

To celebrate the scholarship recipients’ achievements and acknowledge the donors’ generosity, the annual SCACPA 2023 Student Recognition Luncheon will take place Friday, November 17, 2023, at the Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center in conjunction with the Fall Fest Accounting Conference.

Thank you to the Educational Fund Trustees: Chair Luann Hundley, James Barnes, Clint Bates, Allen Hodges, Wendy Redmon, and staff liaison Jacque Curtin.

CONGRATULATIONS TO THIS YEAR’S WINNERS
