SCACPA’s calendar of CPE courses is carefully selected and localized for the subjects that matter to South Carolina CPAs. Your annual membership entitles you to a 40-hour CPE Bank for you to attend SCACPA’s major conferences, seminars and over 100 hours of Livestream. Based on membership pricing models from previous years, you break even on CPE prices after using just 15 hours of your CPE Bank. We realize you have unlimited options in price and vendor, but SCACPA wants to be your trusted and preferred choice in CPE.
When it comes to the legislative and regulatory issues that affect you, turn to the SCACPA Advocacy Team and its grassroots network that gets results. Check out our Advocacy page, where you’ll find testimonials from members who told us about problems in the field that we were then able to negotiate solutions for by cutting through the red tape. What we’ve been up to
Here at SCACPA, we stay busy making sure we are providing you with meaningful Chapter events and the most up to date CPE content throughout the year. We also believe that important doesn’t mean boring. We’ve given our conferences a face lift and introduced fun activities between courses and after day 1. At the end of day 1 at our 2018 Spring Splash conference, we had a Pig Pickin’ – and yes, there was an actual pig! Day 1 of 2018 Fall Fest ended with the Central Chapter’s annual Entertainment Night, and a magician made an afternoon appearance on day 2. In addition to bringing you relevant and exciting CPE, our Advocacy team works year round to protect the interest of CPAs in South Carolina. From Conformity to disaster relief, we were instrumental in the biggest legislative wins around tax in 2018. The Coastal Chapter stepped up in a big way for our SCACPA’s CPA Month of Service (October) by putting together a fun, relaxed and successful beach sweep. Giving back to the community is a core function of Chapters and we can’t wait to see what the 2019-2020 Chapter Officers come up with for this year’s events!
