The Exposure Draft, Maintaining the Relevance of the Uniform CPA Examination® – Aligning the Exam with the CPA Evolution Licensure Model, is available for public comment. The draft is a proposal for the 2024 CPA Exam.

The draft, including the draft Uniform CPA Examination Blueprints (the CPA Exam Blueprints), “presents the findings and conclusions of a Practice Analysis (PA) conducted by the AICPA under the oversight of the BOE and its Practice Analysis Sponsor Group.” The practice analysis aligns the CPA Exam with the new CPA Evolution, a joint initiative from the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) and the AICPA. CPA Evolution aims to evolve CPA licensure to reflect the skills and knowledge CPAs increasingly need in a technology-driven marketplace.

The final CPA Exam Blueprints should be approved in December 2022 and published in January 2023, with a planned Exam launch in January 2024.

You can review the Exposure Draft and send your comments to practiceanalysis@aicpa.org by September 30, 2022.
