Communications

  • We are excited to hit the ground running with our #WhyCPA campaign! You may have seen a few teasers on our social media pages, and you can visit the Why CPA website page to learn more. We are the only organization in the state that promotes and protects the profession, and we are thrilled to be introducing this new member benefit just in time for tax season.
  • The Communications and Membership teams are gearing up to launch a recruitment campaign targeting newly licensed CPAs and South Carolina CPAs who have never been Association members. With All Inclusive Membership, CPAs across the state should be excited at the potential of membership with the only organization in South Carolina that protects the profession. Join SCACPA today!
  • The Marketing Guide and Firm Guide are getting face lifts! The Communications team is working to keep materials up to date and relevant. We are also getting ready to publish the latest CPA Report online as a PDF, for quick and easy access to quality profession related content.
  • SCACPA Content Products are in the works! In addition to standard tips and tricks, our content guide for interviewing will feature quotes from members about what they specifically look for in candidates. We’re also putting together information on how to market your CPA firm. Stay tuned!

Advocate

  • SCACPA is the only organization in the state the protects and promotes the CPA profession. With tax season quickly approaching, we’re going to be kicking off a campaign to spread awareness about the differences between an accountant and a CPA, and why choosing a CPA is a smart long-term financial decision. We know choosing a CPA is the right decision, don’t you?
    • Our #WhyCPA campaign is launching this month, and we have a lot of cool content coming to you! Be on the lookout for #WhyCPA promos on social media and in Current Assets, our weekly newsletter. Not receiving Current Assets in your inbox? Email communications@scacpa.org.
  • Students, the AICPA Minority Scholarship is open for submissions! Be on the lookout for us to open SCACPA Scholarship submissions around the first of the year.
    • Speaking of students, Chris is hitting the road again on Thursday to speak to USC Aiken’s Accounting Club! Student Membership with SCACPA is free, and networking opportunities (a solid network leads to a solid internship, which leads to a solid job… you get the idea!) are endless. Apply for Student Membership here!
