You have the knowledge. Now it’s time to give it a voice.

SCACPA will host the latest installment of our Speaker Training Academy for two and a half days on June 26-28, and we are now accepting enrollment requests for this free event.

Your training will be led by two nationally recognized experts who speak on financial topics for CPAs, Lynn Nichols (host of SCACPA’s Weekly Federal Tax Update podcast) and Pete Margaritis (“The Accidental Accountant”).

You’ll quickly be able to incorporate the skills learned from Nichols and Margaritis into more convincing public performances when you speak on behalf of yourself or SCACPA. We are especially looking for subject authorities on Auditing, Nonprofits and Government.

“I thoroughly enjoyed the speaker’s academy. I am thankful SCACPA CEO Chris Jenkins and his team are offering this type of personal development,” said Jeremy Weaver, CPA, who attended this training in November. “This training enhanced and expanded my desire to educate and teach. Lynn and Peter were fantastic and offered many great suggestions stemming from two careers in teaching and public speaking.

“I appreciated the close atmosphere of the group so we could present and receive honest feedback without it seeming like a competition or criticism party.  I am sure I will take my new friendships from the class on to the next phase of my career.”

There is no fee to register. However, seating is limited to 10 attendees, so please write to us at communications@scacpa.org to tell us your background and explain your reasons for attending. The deadline to apply is Friday, June 8. (DEADLINE EXTENDED: Friday, June 15)

Classes will be from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. on Tuesday and Wednesday (June 26-27) and 8 a.m.-noon on Thursday (June 28) at the Cayce office of the South Carolina Association of CPAs, (1300 12th Street, Suite D, 29033).
