SCACPA members should be aware that the Association has confirmed that the South Carolina Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation is conducting an email verification drive in advance of license renewal season for firms and individuals. Be on the lookout for an email from DoNotReply@llr.sc.gov with a subject line of “LLR Email Validation.”
The LLR’s Email Verification information page can be found at https://llr.sc.gov/validation.aspx.
The wording of the email request can be seen below, which includes an updated logo for the LLR.
If you or your firm did not receive such an email, it is important to contact the SC BOA to update your email address. They can be reached via email at Contact.Accountancy@llr.sc.gov or by phone at (803) 896-4770.
The LLR’s email verification drive is a critical step in streamlining the license renewal process. It is also urgent for licensees to verify that they are responding to a legitimate authority and that it is not disguised as a phishing attempt.
SCACPA thanks all its members in advance both for keeping their records updated with regulatory agencies while also taking email security seriously.
