The Manager Financial (Reimbursement) has responsibility for the following:

Timely completion of the annual Medicare/Medicaid cost report for all entities and compliance with other regulatory reporting requirements.  Ensuring all supporting documentation needed for completion of reports are appropriately compiled and maintained. Be the relationship manager for interactions with the MAC and SCDHSS on reimbursement issues. Preparing and timely completion of all reporting required by Medicaid and other agencies for supplemental payment programs (medical education related reimbursements, DSH, etc.) Interpreting of Medicare and Medicaid rules, regulations, and guidelines and providing guidance for ensuring appropriate payments from governmental payers and for management of all appeals.  Preparing impact analysis as needed. Preparing monthly journal entries to record non-patient specific Medicare and Medicaid transactions (settlements, GME/IME, DSH/UPL accruals, pass through payments, etc.). Analyzing and reconciling of general ledger activity related to third party payer’s receivable and liability accounts. Be able to serve as a resource in addressing and resolving reimbursement matters.

This position will be customer focused and insure that all operations function to meet the needs of internal and external customers while adhering to all appropriate controls and applicable policies.  Responsible for other duties as assigned. (6/26-2)

Education:
Required: Bachelor’s degree Accounting, Finance or related field
Preferred: Master’s in accountancy or related field or MBA

Experience:
Required: 7 – 10 years
Preferred: 10 – 12 years

Certifications, Licenses and/or Registrations:
