Job Description:
Burkett Burkett & Burkett Certified Public Accountants, P.A., an established CPA firm with offices in West Columbia and Rock Hill, SC, has an opening for a Tax Accountant with experience working with estates and trusts in the West Columbia office. Primary responsibilities include tax compliance and research projects for clients in diverse industries; performing engagements requiring tax analysis for all entity types; research and analysis of a wide–range of tax issues related to business transactions; and tax planning responsibilities for our corporate and individual clients. Responsibilities:
- Prepare, Review and Sign individual, fiduciary, corporate and partnership tax returns
- Assist clients with tax planning and prepare tax projections
- Ability to research complex business and tax issues
- Respond to tax notices
- Perform additional duties as assigned by partners or managers
Requirements:
- Public accounting experience in taxation, including individual, estate, trust, corporate, partnership
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- CPA or EA required
- Professional with strong communication and client relation skills
- Experience required in Office, Excel, Word, QuickBooks and Tax Software
Location: This position is in our West Columbia, South Carolina office
