An Easley, SC CPA firm is hiring! We’re looking for experienced part-time and full-time bookkeepers/payroll specialists and tax preparers. Bookkeeping/Payroll Specialist candidates must possess professional knowledge and understanding of bookkeeping, payroll, and accounting principles and be proficient with QuickBooks (desktop and online versions). Tax preparer candidates must have experience preparing individual, corporate, and partnership income tax returns. Attention to detail and strong organizational skills are critical for these roles. Bookkeeper/Accountant Responsibilities and Qualifications:
• Record financial transactions and/or adjust client prepared books
• Reconcile accounts (i.e. bank, credit card, accounts receivable, fixed assets, accounts payable, loans, payroll, etc.)
• Prepare and process multi-state client payrolls, prepare payroll tax returns, and remit payroll taxes
• Ability to communicate effectively with clients
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
• Strong proficiency with QuickBooks (desktop and online versions) and Microsoft Office

Tax Preparer Responsibilities and Qualifications:
• Prepare individual, corporate, and partnership income tax returns
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations
• Maintain accurate records and documentation
• In-depth knowledge of federal and state tax laws and regulations
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, CPA, and/or EA certification preferred
