Last year’s inaugural Fall Fest was the biggest event in SCACPA history, and we’re ready for this year’s event at the Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center to be even bigger. As in, mechanical bull with a Wild West theme bigger. As of Oct. 2, more the 230 of you have registered, and we’re ready to see so many more of you!
Registration (and Session Selection!) is Open
SCACPA is hopeful to set another Fall Fest attendance record this year – and we want you to be part of it. We hope to see you Nov. 14 and 15 at the Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center.

Wild West Theme and Entertainment Night
Fall Fest 2019 will have a Wild West theme, and there will be no mistaking that after Thursday’s sessions with our Entertainment Night! We will have:
- casino-style games
- a DJ
- mechanical bull riding
- laser skeet shooting (outside, if the weather cooperates)
- a photo booth. If your wardrobe includes old-timey western clothes, now might be a great time to break that out!
Fall Fest giveaways include stress balls in the shape of a bull; a souvenir pen with a bull on top; and our event bags will be clear plastic bags, which you might want to hang on to for other public events that require clear bag policies.
The Silent Auction is a seasoned veteran event at Fall Fest, and we need items for bidding! In 2018, participants bid on anything from wine packages to vacations, and everything in between. Contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information on donating items to the Silent Auction.
Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center
COO/CFO Jacque Curtin, new SCACPA CPE Manager Elaine Mikell and CPE Coordinator Alex Pierce toured the Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center with our site planner, and SCACPA is in the process of learning how we’ll lay out the space for our sessions and activities. Look for the Fall Fest map as we get closer to the conference.
At Fall Fest, Look What’s in Store for the Student Track: Meet the future of the profession.
Both the Hampton Inn Columbia and Hilton Columbia Center are within walking distance to the Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center and are offering discounted rates for a limited time. Book by Oct. 25 to reserve your room!
Fall Fest 2018 Testimonials
“This organization has turned back into what it was it was originally intended. It is again an advocate for the profession and a vehicle to share information. Thank you for all that you do.”
“Event was fantastic, best in my history with SCACPA. … The breaks worked great to network and visit vendors. … The lunch on the first day was very nice and really touched on that ‘We are a community’ aspect. … The ‘share your photos on social media’ idea was great, and looking at all of the smiling faces on Facebook today was a nice touch. Having the students come on the second day and engage with us was a very good touch too. Overall – GREAT JOB SCACPA!”
“This ethics speaker was very lively and kept us all awake and involved in after-lunch CPE … and that’s saying something!”
