Penny A. Lewis, CPA | Chair

Penny A. Lewis, CPA, PA Member since 1981

Penny is a sole practitioner and has owned her own business for over 30 years, moving from Greenville to Isle of Palms. Penny is an S.C. native and received her bachelor's degree from Furman University. In addition to her service on the SCACPA board of directors, she was treasurer for the Charleston American Marketing Association and a member of the Isle of Palms Planning Commission.

Cheryl O. Lang, CPA | Chair Elect

Tindall Corporation Member since 2004
Cheryl serves as Vice President and CFO for Tindall Corporation.  Her duties include oversight of finance, accounting, and information technology. Cheryl received a BS in Accounting at East Tennessee State University and an MBA from Clemson University. She started her career in public accounting working for both Coopers & Lybrand and Price Waterhouse.

Dr. Clarence Coleman, CPA | Treasurer 

Winthrop University Member since 1979
Dr. Coleman obtained his bachelor degree in accounting from Southern University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He received a Masters in Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance from Atlanta University’s Graduate School of Business and was awarded the Doctor of Philosophy in Business Administration with an Accounting concentration from the University of South Carolina. After completing his undergraduate studies, Dr. Coleman worked for a big four accounting firm. He later joined the Memphis office of a regional firm where he had the primary responsibility of auditing health care entities. Dr. Coleman has been a practicing CPA in the state of South Carolina for more than 25 years, currently limiting his practice to not for profit entities.

Robert Tilton, CPA |Immediate Past Chair

Robert M. Tilton is a CPA and Partner at WebsterRogers LLP. Robert has over 16 years of public accounting experience with an emphasis in auditing. Prior to joining WebsterRogers in 2004 he was a senior with a regional public accounting firm in Charlotte, North Carolina.

While in public accounting, Robert has performed financial audits of large commercial entities in the manufacturing, distribution, and stevedoring industries as well as employee benefit plans. He is also responsible for developing and documenting WebsterRogers’ best practices for audits, reviews and compilation engagements, as well as coordinating annual accounting and auditing training for staff in the audit group.

Chris D. Jenkins | CEO

S.C. Association of CPAs 
Chris is the new chief executive officer for the association and answers to the board of directors. As CEO, Chris will lead strategic planning initiatives, foster relationships with strategic partners, and promote and develop member services. A native of Ohio, he is a graduate of DeVry University with a bachelor's degree in business administration. A motorcycle enthusiast, Chris enjoys spending time with his family enjoying the great outdoors.

Zoe M. Davis, CPA

Hubbard Davis CPAs, LLP Member since 1997

Zoe has over 19 years of accounting experience, with several years in auditing and consulting services for employee benefit plans, nonprofit organizations and homeowner associations. She has been a CPA since 1999 and a Certified Fraud Examiner since 2006.  She is actively involved in community organization as  a member of the Rotary Club of Mount Pleasant and treasurer for the TriCounty Human Resources Management Association.

Suzanne M. Harnois, CPA

Bernard N. Ackerman CPA, PA Member since 1989

Suzanne has over 25 years of experience in accounting, with 12 years at Duke Energy in corporate finance and cash management before joining Bernard N. Ackerman, CPA, PA in 1998.  A native of Richburg, SC, Suzanne has dedicated her time to multiple civic and philanthropic organizations including Children's Attention Home, St. John's United Methodist Church, Junior Welfare League, Dorothy Day Soup Kitchen, and a member of the board for the Rock Hill Area Chamber of Commerce.


Lesley H. Kelly, CPA

McGregor & Company, LLP Member since 1999

Lesley is a graduate of the University of South Carolina with a bachelor's degree in business. She had six years of governmental accounting experience with the City of Sumter prior to joining McGregor in 1999. Lesley was admitted as partner in the firm in 2007, where she is responsible for Audit & Assurance, review, compilation, tax services, among her many duties. Lesley has received Ambassador Training through AICPA and currently serves on the Governmental Tax Force committee for SCACPA. In addition, Lesley served as President of the Central Chapter of SCACPA in 2007. 

Brad Ledford, CPA

DHG Search Advisors Member since 2007
Brad has over 17 years of experience with Dixon Hughes Goodman, the last 11 years with DHG Search Advisors and 6 years before that as an auditor. Brad serves a wide range of industries, including Healthcare, Manufacturing, Construction, Service, and others. The level of positions Brad supports range from Staff to CFO. Brad has served on many non-profit boards and industry associations. He is actively involved in community organizations and has served on the IMA Carolinas Council, as President of the IMA and as a Loaned Executive for United Way.


Kenneth L. Newhouse, CPA

Ken earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of South Carolina in 1999 and an Associates of Applied Science in Electronic Systems Technology in 2000 from the Community College of the Air Force. He spent 13 years with the South Carolina Air National Guard and Air Force Reserve as a computer and cryptographic systems technician.  He has been in public accounting for more than 14 years providing professional services to various clients in a wide array of industries.

Charles L. Talbert III, CPA

Charles (Chuck) is a partner with WebsterRogers LLP and serves as the firm’s Manufacturing and Distribution Practice Leader. Chuck has extensive experience providing accounting, assurance and business consulting services to various types of start-up and mature manufacturers, distributors, utilities, large governmental entities, nonprofit organizations, and wealthy individuals.

 

Graham A. Gage, CPA

EY (Ernst & Young LLP) Member since 2001

Graham has over 17 years of experience at EY serving a diversified group of publicly and privately held companies, including companies in the manufacturing, distribution, real estate, construction, and retail industries. He has extensive experience with technical accounting matters and providing assurance services to multinational companies as well as smaller growth-oriented companies. Graham is currently an executive director in EY’s national professional practice with a focus on quality and regulatory matters.

 

Harris J. Darver, CPA

McGregor & Company, LLP Member since 2008

Harris is currently employed with McGregor & Company, LLP, in Greenville as a Senior Manager. His areas of specialization and experience include not-for-profit and governmental accounting and auditing concentrating on charitable organizations, non-profit associations, other tax-exempt organizations, health care entities, school districts and small business groups. Harris received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration majoring in both Accounting and Finance from the Darla Moore School of Business at the University of South Carolina.
