Q1. Can Corporate Partnership Returns be filed electronically?

A. Yes. Use the Federal 1065 E-file form.

Q2. Why does South Carolina not have its own E-File Authorization Form?

A. The SCDOR contacted several developers to see what the trend was among the states. It was determined that states were moving away from using their own authorization forms and allowing filers to use the federal form.

Q3. Does my tax software have the 1065 E-file available?

A. The SCDOR has approved all developers who submitted test submissions. They are as follows:

PARTNERSHIP (SC1065)

  • CORPTAX
  • DRAKE SOFTWARE
  • LACERTE
  • CCH PROSYSTEMS
  • ULTRATAX CS
  • RCS TAXSLAYER
  • GOSYSTEMS/ONESOURCE
  • INTUIT TAX ONLINE EDITION
  • ONLINE TAXES INC
  • ATX
  • PETZ ENTERPRISES (CROSSLINK)

Q4: Will any other developers be approved before the April 15th deadline?

A. It is not likely. As of March 13, 2017, no additional requests have been made.

Q5: If my software is not listed as having been approved (see Q3), can I still file electronically?

A. No. You must file paper returns.
