Edgar Gee, CPA, MBA, FACFEI is a practitioner with over 40 years’ experience. He worked with Touche Ross & Company (now Deloitte & Touche) before working with a local firm, both in Nashville.
He opened his own practice in 1977 in Knoxville. He has defeated the government in half of the states. In 1995, he beat the IRS in the biggest independent contractor case (privately held) ever litigated.
In 1996 he testified before the Ways & Means Subcommittee on IRS Oversight. He has authored numerous articles including “Independent Contractor versus Employee: How the Process Works Today” which won the article of the year award from the New York State Society of CPA’s in 2000.
He is also the author of Guide to Worker Classification (PPC) and Secrets to Winning IRS Audits and Appeals and IRS’s High Priority Audit Strategies and How to Protect Against Them. (Western CPE)
He has spoken nationwide in 45 states on tax issues and tax representation. He is referred to in the New York Times bestseller “What the IRS Does Not Want You to Know”.
