Serve on a SCACPA Committee or Task Force

SCACPA Committees are an excellent opportunity for you to volunteer your time and resources. Committee requests are sent annually in July; appointments are made in October. Each member is invited to request up to three choices for committee appointment. Be sure to review the responsibilities of each Committee/Task Force and apply now. 

Write an Article for the CPA Report

Get Published in the CPA Report, SCACPA's bi-monthly professional journal! If you have expertise in a particular subject and a willingness to share your knowledge with others, consider writing a feature article. Features typically run between 1,000 and 1,500 words and cover current events, news within the profession and special interest topics. Nominate a Leader for a Chapter Officer Position

Are you interested in serving the Association and your profession in your local chapter? We’re looking for leaders with fresh, innovative ideas who are willing to make a time commitment of about an hour a month. Officer nominations are received year-round, and elections take place in September. Become a Key Person Contact

Is one of your clients a Legislator? Does he or she attend your church or place of worship?  Are you a fellow Rotarian with an elected official or did you attend high school with one? If so, we need to know! From time to time, SCACPAs Legislative and Advocacy needs members with any type of relationship with legislators to initiate a grassroots effort with elected officials. Whether speaking about careers in accounting, educating consumers and students about financial literacy, or presenting on an area of expertise in your practice on behalf of SCACPA, we need your help in your local community to raise awareness about CPAs, our profession and our Association.
