The establishment of a uniform brand image should be a paramount concern for any business or association. It is important for an organization to commit to establishing brand imagery and sticking to its basic themes—e.g., use the same colors, shapes, pictures—over time. Brand imagery becomes ingrained in the mind of the viewer and once that has been cemented in a positive manner, an increase in recognition may not be too far behind.

With that goal in mind, we have created the following standards and guidelines to help members take ownership of our brand and stay committed to its uniformity. Please know that consistency in all of our documents, those published by the association and its members, are vital to our mission.

Correct usage of the SCACPA identity provides credibility for the association.

To ensure the proper and consistent usage, we’ve established a few simple guidelines to be followed in all communications efforts. This identity is how people recognize and know us. It represents everything and it is how we stand out. It is very important that we remain consistent in all forms of communication.

The SCACPA logotype must appear clear and visible at all times.

The ideal background for the logo in two color is white, ivory or gray. The logo should only be placed on a gray background whose value is no more than 25% black. This ensures maximum visibility of the logotype. If a white, ivory or gray/25% black background is not possible, the logo should appear in either black or white, whichever option provides maximum legibility and contrast for the logo.

For the SCACPA logotype to be recognized, it must be readable in all communication efforts.

The minimum width of the logotype should be 1”. This will help ensure that our signature always maintains its presence and clarity each and every time it is used. As a general rule, the logotype should not be reproduced in a small size if poor quality is likely to occur. Backgrounds and reversing the logo out may affect the legibility of the logotype. This should be taken into consideration when minimizing the logotype.

When using the two-color version of the logo, please use SCACPA's PMS (Pantone Matching System) Colors: 280 Blue and 187 Red.
