Legacy of the "Old Guard" Reception

No one can say for sure when the “Old Guard” Reception first began, but one thing that all agree on, it was started to recognize long standing members of SCACPA who were the “guardians” or protectors of the CPA profession who served the profession in numerous capacities over the years.

The Old Guard Reception is an invitation-only event for SCACPA members who have been licensed 30 years or more.  It is the Association’s way of honoring these special members, recognizing their contributions to the profession, and thanking them for their important part of the CPA profession in South Carolina. 

The past presidents of SCACPA along with the current Board of Directors also attend the event to say thank you.  It is a fun time to meet and greet “long time” friends and make new acquaintences.
