"State societies are singularly responsible for legislative lobbying at the state level to preserve and protect the roles of CPAs in an increasingly regulatory world." (Are State CPA Societies Still Relevant? AccountingWEB - June 2003)
It is imperative that the CPA profession maintains a high profile with members of the South Carolina General Assembly. In order to be successful, we must have grassroots support from our members.
If you know any state senators or representatives, or are willing to contact them, please submit the form below or a download a copy of the form that you can fax or mail to the SCACPA office. As a key contact, you may be asked to contact a legislator to discuss issues to assist in SCACPA lobbying efforts, deliver contribution checks, and attend legislative updates and training.
This year, SCACPA celebrates 100 years of the accounting profession in the state of South Carolina. Check out our 100 Influential People in Accounting honored at the Centennial Gala on Nov. 11, 2015.
