WHY SHOULD I VOLUNTEER?

Your involvement gives you the opportunity to share your talents and expertise, exercise your leadership skills, grow your knowledge base and develop professional relationships that will last you a lifetime.

HOW OFTEN DO THE VARIOUS COMMITTEES MEET?

Most committees meet an average of two to four times per year. Most meetings are held via conference call and Web conference, with an in-person option at the SCACPA offices in West Columbia.

HOW LONG IS MY COMMITMENT?

Committee and Task Force appointment terms are two years. You may request to be reappointed at the end of your term.

DO I NEED SPECIFIC EXPERIENCE?

Some committees may require more professional experience than others, for example the Peer Review Committee.

HOW DO I SIGN UP?

The deadline for applications is September 30 annually.  Interested members may observe a committee/task force meeting prior to joining. Simply contact Reva Brennan at rbrennan@scacpa.org, (803) 791-4181, ext. 103 or (888) 557-4814 [toll-free in South Carolina].  Due to committee size and structure, not all requests can be accommodated. Committee members are selected in the fall and are notified of selection by 12/31 annually.  To sign up submit your request online here.
